I heard from military camo uniform enthusiast that our Philippine Marines looking forward to adopt US Marines Pattern (Marpat) Digital camouflage uniform or similar.
How true? and who or what department is actually in-charge of their uniforms & supplies? Does it actually pass thru DoD for approval in terms of design/pattern or every AFP branch of service have their own uniform board?
/cheers

The current Philippine Marine cammie is better than that of the US Marines when considering our environment here.
The US Marines cammie has a prominent brown patches that makes it less effective than what the Phil Marines currently wear.
Compare this one...

... to these:

Yes, I admit...the Marpat is not that effective here....the CADPAT (Canadian) is more like it...
The swag tigerstripes you posted above is also not effective in the jungle but would say, very effective in the riverine operations especially in the mangroves...

current PMC camo is already good no need to replace

I agree....if ever they go to the digital camo wagon...i hope they instead digitise the current camo pattern & color.

What would be good design for the PMC?
My 2Cents worth of blabbering. Something around the camouflage pattern of but with some philippine "coloring" of the following:
-Canadian CADPAT

-Danish version of Flecktarn, especially the darker version used in UN missions.

id rather go for a combination of danish flektarn and our present philippine marines cammies.something different as well.and to be transcripted into digital imaging. what do you think guys? :crawling: :aberet:

disregard the new BDU - use any available dough instead to buy kevlar helmets and body armor

"They look good in the eyes but you are looking for an eye candy.
those Canadian uniform are designed for temperate vegetation and the temperate terrain are look eye candy.
our vegetation are look dark green. we should stick to our camo pattern and just change the fabric material for durability and less fadability."
---Emphasis not about color, but the new 3D camouflage designs. Pixelated or "Fleck" design are getting good reviews about being able to camouflage better than the blob patters of the older woodland/floral designs.
" disregard the new BDU - use any available dough instead to buy kevlar helmets and body armor"
---True, add a new or atleast working rifle and support weapons to that list.

UOG/SCUBA Diver's BadgeDo Force Recon guys wear this badge on their uniform? (like their US counterpart)
..and

On the marinesforcerecon.com gallery, there's a pic of a FR Marine holding a ginunting bolo.. I noticed on his BDAs that he has both the AFP Parachutist Badge and this badge.. can some tell the difference of both of them?
thank you

Just lately in every news footage I saw some of the Philippine Marine Officer wearing the latest Battlefield Uniform! To Me it seems to be similar to what the USMC are currently wearing its like sort of a DPCU Disruptive Pattern Camouflage uniform.. Like Cool! Marines!.. :armycool:
