Title: Most lousy official AFP/PNP website
caterwaul - May 18, 2005 02:14 AM (GMT)
The official AFP websites really suck, rarely updated, not user friendly, with vague, irrelevant and obsolete information and graphics...so to wake up the mil geeks in charge of these fugly websites, lets make a poll to show which is the ugliest, lousiest, official military website.. :demon:
Note: before you vote , go to the official websites and check each out...
http://www.afp.mil.ph/http://www.army.mil.ph/http://www.navy.mil.ph/http://www.philippinemarinecorps.mil.ph/http://www.pnp.gov.ph/http://www.pnpsaf.org/now move your butts and vote, maybe we can spark a positive change!

:specool: poll...
Philippine Army website sucks - a hundred pushups to the lousy webmaster
coolest in my not so humble opinion - PNP SAF website
Frenzy - May 18, 2005 02:48 AM (GMT)
i have to agree, the pnpsaf owns the coolest website
saver111 - May 18, 2005 03:36 AM (GMT)
:agree:
Reminds me of the day it was activated in May of '83.

The Marines and the Navy sites are almost equally impressive.
The Marines homepage though including the "flash" intro is smoother that that of the Navy. The Navy should have chosen a much clearer video for their intro to make it more appealing.
Considering content, web design, artistic quality, the NAVY homepage gets the gold.
Getting the second spot is that of the Marines.
The most professional-looking homepage though, considering the neatness of the design concept, the PNP-SAF gets it. Too little info yet though.

hey flipz, in case you missed it, this poll is actually for the lousiest, crappiest official website, not the best. :armywink:
the ones with the 0 vote are the best websites then
flipzi - May 18, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
Oh yes, tama ka nga yata. I got mixed up!
NOW, THAT MAKES ME.... THE LOUSIEST! :armyLol:
Nalito ko sa sinundan kong postings eh. :funnypost:
Gutom lang siguro.
Okay. The lousiest?
Sorry po mga Sirs/Ma'ams... pero ito'y survey lang.
The Army gets it.
Nonetheless, not really lousy but the simplest.
Kaso lousiest habol natin kaya siya ang talagang pupuntahan. :dunno:

I really don't like the PN Flash intro...totally a waste of time.
And slow to load even with my broadband connection.
The PA website though gets my vote for the lousiest - news articles that date back to 2002? :armyeek:

MBLT oversaw the creation of both sites :thumb:
The PN used to have the ugliest site out there, so they turned over the site to the Marines for reconstruction.
:patrioticpinoy:
I hate the Army site because its information is outdated. However, the main AFP site has my vote for worst because they actually have wrong information. When the J staff was re-organized, they shifted the links around -- and messed them up. They not only have out-dated info, they also have erroneous data.
The only saving grace for that site is the AFP-CRS section, which contains a lot of the latest info -- even more complete than what you get in the papers. :thumb:

Despite being overly critical of the armed forces establishment, I am actually thankful that they were able to create their own websites. That in itself is a large reminder that they at least know how to use a computer.
flipzi - May 19, 2005 10:03 AM (GMT)
.... and that they have their own websites that we can all see!

i wish the army will improve and update its website, in todays highly accessible online information access, its not good for the premier military branch of the afp to be left behind..
Rapidfire - May 28, 2005 08:14 AM (GMT)
its already wa waaay behind:
lookee here, for the Daily Issues Tracking, the latest article is dated 19 September 2003!
this site is caught in a time warp :drunk:

your comments trully amaze me. Shows some creativity in cynical attributes unique to your pchychological make up. May i suggest you create a website dedicated to critisizing the AFP with a forum at the least. Then i can use your style againts your endeavors. We in this forum at least will see both sides of the coin. you in defense of your actuations rather than you contradicting those existing. Wouldn't that be great in levelling the playground you had thrived in for so long.

ALL OF THEM SUCKS (except for the PNP website)
those sites are full of what - essays? they're too dull! there are no full descriptions and database on each individual unit (divisions, brigades, squadrons, etc) with only a few photos, plus they're sluggishly updated. what i expect from an official website is not full of crappy words, but full of useful information and of course photos. one would usually browse into military websites because they are military enthusiasts.
what i want for an official website is this:
Philippine Air Force only that this one does not have news updates - but it's a whole lot good that the official PAF site...
check out my own website!!!

Your website sucks too - its too dark, the words can hardly be seen. I would say its a perfect website if your content is about horror movies.
