We should focus on logistics and transportation. This is essential in winning the counter-insurgency war. An army without an efficient logistical arm is nothing. :aberet:

We need to acquire some capabilities first before moving on to other tasks.

Explain how?

For now, we should focus on acquiring new assets, as well as maintaining our current inventory of assets. If and when we are on a level at least at par with some of our smaller and poorer neighbors, then we can focus on R&D. Right now, it is not cost-effective for us to engage in costly R&D when there is no funds to put into action all those plans and projects such R&D will generate.

I have to admit, capability-wise, we are lagging behind even our poorer neighbor ASEAN countries. Correct me if I'm wrong in my conception, but even North Korea, a very poor communist country, has greater military capability than us.

North Korea has greater military capability than us because almost all its resources are concentrated on the military.

Its soldiers are healthy but its citizenry are malnourished and famine is common occurence.
