Title: PAF planes, in the make

mondo bizzaro - June 11, 2005 07:19 AM (GMT)
Been busy lately,
Only got to make it this far. This plan is friggin' tiny. Detail is bad considering it's from Hasegawa. Backdating this kit to make it into the T34 Mentor. I know this plane was camouflaged near the end of its service. Can anyone tell me the colors for the camo? I know it's some kind of brown and tan.

The T6 Texan has a longer wingspan than this animal.

the T34 mentor kit of hasegawa is INDEED tiny... fratgile langidng gears, watch out!

ah the color- i have seen pics of the camouflaged T34- but maybe due to the development process and age of the pic, the hues dont seem to match- or was it the PAF had no standardization then of colors for their a/c ( early 70s)?

the best bet would be testors military brown and tamiya olive drab ( if you are basing it on the picture from Bert Anido's book) or earth and gunze ww2 OD , if you look at a piv from the net for reference....

depends talaga sa pic seen....

Iba talaga ang discipline ng paggawa ng aircraft.

Feeling ko bibili uli ako ng kapalit nito.

I don't have full photos anymore but here are pictures of the AT-34 left and right wing. Taken sometime in 1984 on final approach to Sangley. Hope it gives you an idea on the colors.

If you have Bert Anido's book there is a colored photo of the T-34. My guess, the colors are standard USAF SEA camouflage.

encyclopedia of worlds military aircrafts, page 45, beech model 45, t-34a/b. in fact, the same pic appeared on an unofficial afp website. most interesting part when i built that one was taking off the oil cooler(?) on the side and breaking the prop from three to two blades. btw, did they ever carry the 15th logo on the tail?
