What are the other types? And they have only 2 MBB-105 helicopters, just enough for those 2 SAR vessels.

Tenix 56m SAR:
AU-001 BRP SAN JUAN
AU-002 BRP EDSA II
AU-003 BRP PAMPANGA
AU-004 BRP BATANGAS

Tenix 35m SAR:
AU-3501 BRP ILOCOS NORTE
AU-3502 BRP NUEVA VIZCAYA
AU-3503 BRP ROMBLON
AU-3504 BRP DAVAO DEL NORTE

DAVAO DEL NORTE delivered early 2004. The JICA website lists the rest of the PCG's vessels and aircraft. The Japanese do provide a lot of the PCG's funding, after all.

Thanks Sir Possible. That JICA site does tells more about our PCG's vessels than their own site.

Other ships supporting the PCG's patrol duties are the DA-BFAR MCS vessels:

Other vessels available are those assigned with the DENR-NAMRIA, some of which were reported before lying idly at the Manila Ports.

Government official drowns after falling from DENR ship
By Nestor Etolle
The Philippine Star 06/20/2006

A 44-year-old official of a government agency drowned after allegedly falling from an observation ship docked at the North Harbor, Manila Sunday night.

The body of Gil Eclarino, reportedly a security officer of the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA), was fished out by his colleagues at the Baseco wharf early yesterday.

NAMRIA is an attached agency of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The body bore head injuries as a result of hitting a hard object after the fall, according to police investigators.

The victim was last seen alive heavily drunk last Sunday night.

He was supposed to board the DENR’s observation ship, the BRP Bantay Kalikasan, docked at the Baseco wharf in North Harbor, when he was reported missing.

His colleagues said the victim could have fallen off the gangplank when he tried to climb on board the ship.

Others said he may have been relieving when he fell into the water.

Police also learned that the victim had fallen into the water a couple of months ago while trying to climb a ship during a drunken stupor.

He was saved by his colleagues at that time.

HMS Dominica (K507) was a Colony-class frigate of the United Kingdom during World War II.

The ship, originally named Harman and designated a Patrol Gunboat (PG-187), was built under Maritime Commission contract by Walsh-Kaiser Co., Inc., Providence, R.I. Intended for use by the United Kingdom, she was reclassified as a Patrol Frigate (PF-79) on 15 April 1943, renamed Dominica, and launched on 14 September 1943, sponsored by Mrs. Andrew D. Manchester. Dominica was then completed and transferred to the United Kingdom under Lend-Lease on 25 January 1944 as part of the 21-ship "Colony" class. She served as a patrol vessel and escort until being returned to the United States on 23 April 1946. The frigate was subsequently sold to Sun Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Chester, Pennsylvania, on 27 March 1947 and scrapped.
