While reading some History books, the PN started as a mosquito navy with a launch named magdalo as the flagship while agocillo mentioned an inter island steamer named Filipinas armed with field pieces rigged on its deck.

can anyone fill in about these?

all i know is that the magdalo was a captured spanish steamer.... the revolutionary navy also i think received other ships from pinoy businessmen sympathetic to aguinaldo.... also, the magdalo has the honor of being the first pinoy ship to make an amphibious landing... dunno about the details of that.... also, dunno what fate eventually befell it.... sory medyo patchy ang info ko....
