Not too long ago, I made some inquires on the PA, PMC and Reservist areas of this forum on how to prepare for OCS. I didn't get most of my questions answered, but this gave me an idea for a suggestion for how to improve this forum: Create a Recruiting Board/area in this forum.
Now, I am not sure how many PDFF members are actually in the AFP, in foreign militaries or are veterans or are just non-prior service military enthusiasts. Still, the wide variety of backgrounds this forum attracts suggests that some of these people can give more than an ample answer to any questions about going into the AFP.
Take for example the forum areas of the sites such as military.com (for US and British military) and army.ca (for the Canadian Forces).
These sites have specially set aside threads for every conceivable topic that would help potential recruits in each military such as the ff:
1.) PT prep- how many push-ups, how to improve your mile-time etc. changing your diet
2.) How to prepare for inspections: shoe-shining standards, giglines, how to prepare creases,
3.) What to ask a US military or CF recruiter
4.) ASVAB or CAFTAB prep
5.) Pscyhological prep- such as gauging one's reasons for joining
6.) What MOS or MOC (CF) to choose
Here are the links to the recruiting areas of those forums:
