No. I was referring to the type and name of the grenade. Like the grenade I was talking about in the previous post is the SFG-87

speaking of grenades, i met a 2lt. class 94 at V Luna who lost his left eye and left fore arm and right hand becuase of an HE 40mm round he was trying to convert to a lighter. it happened to him 4 days after graduating and while waiting for posting inside his room in Ft. Del pilar. he was turning the head of the 203 round when WAGAM!!!!! he forgot that after 7 full turns and on the eight turn the round would detonate. ang malas niya. thats why in the movies do not believe what you see when they fire a 203 and it detonates even at close range. :nono:

in my humble opinion, the proper way to throw a grenade and i may be wrong, is pull the pin release the safety, upon release count 1001, 1002, throw for immediate detonation upon ground contact. but do not try this at home....hehehe :headbang:

Sir, he was actually using it to knock on the doors. He was the Floor Inspector at that time and was Challenging the occupants of the room when it exploded. He has been using it for quite sometime...it happened a few days before graduation.

we must be talking about a different guy or maybe he was so embarssed that he made up a goofy story. But again you saw what happened to him, last time I saw him was 1997 while he was fixing his papers since he is still a commissioned officer then I never heard from him again.

Just a question, did it happened before or after graduation? Because if before, he should not be a commissioned officer yet and could not received the priviledges of an officer. I understand cadets enjoys the benefits of an enlisted man. If graduated and commissioned, does a self-inflicted accident still covered by the benefits like in those insurance cases?
See so many questions here. How did he got hold of a grenade and allowed to toyed with it? Nobody dared question this wrongful act among brothers? If this happened before graduation, how come he still got commssioned with those disabilities?
