do you consider the interceptor vest suitable for the ground ombat troops and also the MICH as an head gear? :armyeek:

The Interceptor is more than acceptable, if we can acquire those.

What exactly is a MICH headgear, care to provide more details?

I have seen the Interceptor with the MICH headgear with the LRC...never shown in parades.

The ordinary troops have PASGT 1 in limited issue...even saw Vietnam-era flak jackets occasionally.

How about the NePs...MERON PO SILANG IMPROVISED FLAK JACKET! During the time of Marcos...Chinese AK-47 steel mags in pouches that cover the lower chest and upper abdomen area. ...ngayon M-16 aluminum mags with bullets na lang.

how about the bullet proof vest manufactured in thailand? i saw this on discovery channel were their armed forces and police are now using this kind of vest with is made from hardened cotton fibers (inside), grabe it was awesome! it is very light and when they tested it with a pistol at point blank range it did not prenetrated from the inside (also being tested with anb assault rifle with considerable range), grabe i think you should watch this. it is also cheaper too. i hope you could consider this for our ground troops and police, or i may be wrong... just watch it and do comment.

sorry sir iron_eagle, i forgot the level of protection for the said bullet proff vest, i'm still waiting for discovery channel to re-air it and, if ever, take some notes on it, ndi ko lang siguro makuha yung time bacause i'm working, it was only accidental that i turn the channel to discovery channel that night and WHALAH! the topic is on body protection which includes bullet proof vests.

... maybe some of our comrades could do some enlightenment with this topic

I could only add that with my Navy contact with regards to the Bo105 stated that our DND is already checking this out. Must be hush-hush as details of this has yet to be released to the pressed. What is better though is that our boys will be getting some new vehicles. Well, surplus really from South Korea which will include those long-needed naval vessels. I haven't made follow-ups on this, the Bo105, but will try to find time this coming week.
