The selected applicants are projected to fill the quota for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) Class-33-07 and Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) Class 54-06, tentatively scheduled to convene on August 30.
The two courses have the allocated quota of 225 slots for selected applicants who will be undergoing rigorous training, commissioned, and eventually call-to-active-duty status as new 2nd Lieutenants of the Philippine Army.
Moreover, on the 4th Quarter CY 2006, the Army will recruit again another 200 slots for qualified applicants, the date of examination will be announced later, officials said.
The scheduled examinations are as follows: Pre-Written Exam (PWE) in General Santos City - Jul 24, Step 1 - Philippine Army Aptitude Test Battery; July 25, Step 2 - Army Qualifying Examination; July 26, Step 3 - Special Written Examination.
In Cagayan de Oro: Pre-Written Exam (PWE) in Cagayan de Oro - July 28, Step 1 -Phil Army Aptitude Test Battery; July 29, Step 2 - Army Qualifying Examination; July 30, Step 3 - Special Written Examination.
The applicants must pass Step 1 type of examination prior to proceed to Step 2 and must pass Step 2 type of examination prior to taking Step 3.
The ARC for Mindanao is conducting pre-qualifying or screening and registration. The applicant may proceed to the designated area for registration in ARC-Mindanao, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
All interested applicants are required to bring original copy of the following: Transcript of Records, birth certificate (NSO Authenticated); college diploma; and valid ID.
Applicants who will be qualified during the pre-screening will be given admission slips, which must be presented during the date of examination. The admission slip with valid ID must be presented to the examination proctor prior to the conduct of the examination.
Applicants who passed the series of examinations will be informed by any fastest means to undergo the following: a) Physical Fitness Test (PFT); b) Physical Examination (Medical and Dental); and c) Pre and Final Board Interview.
Successful applicants who passed all series of examinations will report directly to Procurement and Attrition Branch, Army Personnel Management Center, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila for further instruction. (Press release)
