It is a fact that the Philippines has the capability to make a larger navy ship of its own.

My only question is, how about a submarine? do we have the technology to make one?

Submarine is an old technology, it was even used in the US during the civil war.

I once asked about this with a navy captain I used to talk with (along with carriers). The thing with submarines is that it needs to be a volunteer crew to really work. The problem would be in providing the incentive not only to get a volunteer crew but also to keep them motivated. Our navy knows the advantage of submarines but with the funding issue always posing a problem I doubt we could see one with PN colors.

I equally inquired why don't we raise those old ships that got sunk on our territory to get immediate answers (note: sunken ships don't rust until they are exposed to the air above. One needs to spray some sort of chemical as quickly and efficiently one could when one raises a sunken ship.) One obstacle was superstition and respect for the departed. Another was, again, funding. So it all boils down again to money. :armycry:
