What is the current designation of this ship? Is it the ship that was transferred to the Department of Agriculture? According to Global Security the ship was handed over in 1999 to the philippines.

Hindi siguro natulor ang transfer ng AGOS 4 sa Pinas. According to NavSource Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register and transferred to the Maritime Administration (MARAD), 6 January 1995, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA.
Final Disposition, fate unknown

Sir Saver, I think I know the vessel that you have in mind. Its the BRP Presbitero operated by NAMRIA, its the acronym for National Mapping and Resource Information Authority. Sayang i can't capture the image but here's the link,

Yes the BRP Presbitero is one of those that came from Spain brand new. Just thought the AGOS 4 might be an added asset eventhough its old.

BTW, I also read one time the "M/V DA-BFAR" was just docked and not being used. Any updates? If that was the case they should have it jointly operated by the PN, PCG, DENR and their DA-BFAR.

Which among these intel ships deserve the accolade for the busting of N/V Karagatan arms landing. Imagine if hundreds of thousands of those firearms fell into the CPP-NPA.That's great intel anyway, Sentinel.

indeed. nice ships too.

i wonder if they will arm these ships with submersible underwater vehicles soon, it can help us to locate those treasures and ancient shipwrecks that are scattered around in manila bay, leyte gulf, and lingayen gulf. :thumb:
