Do u guys think that our country is ready for any form of invasion? We may have enemies like china and Malaysia so do u think the army is prepare to face them in the name of National Defends? but personally i dont know what to think???

As of the present, we have nothing to worry (much) about the ChiComs invading us. Per my grapevine (which is quite reliable) China has no intention of waging any war or invasion (even to Taiwan) in the immediate future. They are focusing more in improving their economy and influence. I do not know about Malaysia but it is highly doubtful that they would invade us. Maybe some major issue with Sabah but that can be debated upon in the political arena rather than with blood. Besides, the Malaysians are also investing here and are asking for our help in several fields (pati teledrama nagpapatulong sila sa atin).

well u do have a point but malaysia was pissed off when we said we like to have Sabah as part of the philippines well just asking thanks for the info soldier :ssalute: but i think they have plans i think our goverment has one to

as of now, i think, china would not risk an invasion on our main territory BUT they might reinforce their claim at the paracels and spratly islands by reinforcing their troops and structures on those islands and they might "invade" or "occupy" other islands especially within the spratly islands.

But there island near the main land so if they occupy one they occupy another then the next to occupy is the main island of palawan it can haapen so what are we going to do next ?? ask for help or stand and fight even theres no chance in hell that were doing to beat china

And who the US no way she has a big investment on china and most of the products come from china that all nations buy so if u think that the US will help us well it depens on there interest if not were on our own

pound for pound, we may be of no match to any of our neighbors who may want to invade us, but i believe that filipinos are natural-born jungle fighters and guerilla warriors as documented in our history, IMHO, any agressor can not fully occupy the philippines, they have to deal with guerilla warriors, and it could be messy for both sides.

but the malaysians must also be good in jungle fighting. the terrain on which their troops train and live by are quite similar to ours. The chinese? they may be well equipped and sufficient in manpower but most of their soldiers are inexperienced. when is their last war? their foot soldiers these days were not yet even born when china fought its last war. we've been fighting insurgents for decades! all of our troops have seen combat. they're numb too, because for years they've been fighting their fellow filipinos how much more if they're not..

:dunno: what's the point anyway? we're having close ties with our neighbors.. all of us have a common enemy in the region - jemaah islamiyah. these countries would have to find ways first of getting rid of them before moving on to territorial claims..

So we need to build our defensess to stand a chance to all our neighbors damn it all i ever known that our country was so weak

for all i know, we should build a better navy. our country is so wide open for aggressors, even smugglers. ever wonder why mindanao has been al qaeda's main training camp in southeast asia? it's because it's the only place where it's so easy to slip in without being noticed.

Ya but its still better to build our air force too and update our army equipment for better fighting cappabilities and we should ask for help from our brothers the MILF so we can hunt the terrorist in mindanao well simply because they know the place and we made peace with them right? or its a bad idea o well thank and more power for all of the members of the Philippine Defense forum thx :salute:
