Description: Post your designs for the PN
adrian_yamato - September 11, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)

comrades, baka makatulong 'tong design ko: this Drawing is in my cabinet since college, original name BARAKUDA CLASS Missle Frigate , pero pinalitan ko ng name, HABAGAT CLASS na po ito :salute:
Marschall - September 12, 2007 12:54 PM (GMT)
I like drawing :lollol:
This is my Tagumpay Class corvette:
armed with a cannon
two gatling gun mounts
3 SAM launchers
2x Double-launcher boxes (anti-ship missiles)
Jongr90 - September 13, 2007 03:49 AM (GMT)
Well here's my Pating (shark) Class - FFG (can't think of another name). I know it is a bit excessive in armaments, but it's my design, so I'll whatever I want on it...hehe. :armyLol:

Armaments:
2x1 76mm Oto Melara guns (1 fore, 1 aft:behind the helipad)
2x8 cell SAM launchers (1 in front of bridge, 1 behind somestack)
2x3 torpedo tubes (1 on each side of the helipad)
2x4 SSM launchers (1 on each side of the area between the bridge and smokestack)
4x2 40mm AA guns (2 in front and two behind the smokestack)
Jongr90 - September 13, 2007 04:16 AM (GMT)
P.S. Is there an 'edit post' button here somewhere?
HydronPrime - September 13, 2007 04:37 AM (GMT)
Hello guys ..
What I'm about to post is not my design but just want to share it.
I was still small when I encountered this kind of ship in a Popular Mechanics magazine and I thought it was cool.
Unfortunately I don't have the poster (that was inside the magazine) of the ship on the cover page which shows some schematics so that you'll be able to see the full glory of what this might have been.
But anyway, here's the cover page.

For some details, at the end of the ship is a helipad and a barracks (correct term?) for seal teams, green berets, etc you can utilize for special ops since the ship has stealth capabilities also.
By the way, the ship is designated as a 'Battlecruiser' ...
Nice ne?
spearhead - September 13, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
Wow astig kayo huh, sayang di ako experto sa warships, meron akong mga drawings dati so i will try to draw it again and update them with new features.
Its funny, meron naman akong 'Battleship-Cruiser' na design, but it can carry a couple of VTOL Fighters, bagay sana iyon sa PN natin kung di tayo makaka-afford ng full-size aircraft-carrier in the future. I also have some submarines and Unmanned Submersible Vehicles like the 'Alimasag'.
Ill join u soon pips! :specool:
Jongr90 - September 14, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Here's more, my Buwaya Class Amphibious Assault Ship. It's not as big as the US Wasps and Tarawas, but I don't think the Philippines is planning to invade countries thousands of miles away, any time soon. It is however, in my opinion, of sufficient size for operations the AFP might conduct, like some terrorist-controlled island landings, or maybe some Spratly island landings.
This one can hold about 12 LAV-300s (6 side by side) and maybe 6 LVTHs (3-side by side). Theres enough space on top for 3-5 helicopters for some air support. Armaments include a couple of 8 cell SAM launchers, 6 AA guns, a couple of single cell SSM launchers, just in case, and a 5in. gun for some shore bombardment capabilities. What you guys think? :armywink:
Tantalus - September 14, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
Nice one jonqr, now all that remains is to make your design a reality
City Hunter - September 14, 2007 03:43 AM (GMT)
bustero - September 14, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
For smaller boats ones with light displacement that need speed and may require some planing attributes, you may want to remove the bulbous bow.
You may also want to include some stealth characteristics so that the designs would be more up to date.
Just a suggestion.
adrian_yamato - September 14, 2007 01:01 PM (GMT)

I totally agree.
On top of this, we need to organize some association of PDFF artist forumers with temporary free patent protection as well. Maybe we can ask the administrators for help how to protect our drawings and concepts without paying any money, maybe we need to record it in files that only the administrators and the owners of drawings/concepts will have an access. Any interested buyers (just in case in the future) will need a permission.
:dunno:

Mas maganda nga yan kung pipinturahan ulit natin komrad! Gusto mo pinturahan ko ulit yan? Let me know what color u like and at the same time gagawa narin ako ng sarili ko. :specool:
Jongr90 - September 15, 2007 12:28 AM (GMT)
Hehe, thanks a lot guys, I also hope we can have some of these designs made into reality.
bustero- those ship designs are of ships that are fairly big, so I think the bulbous bow is fine (besides, I'm not sure what planing looks like). Also these ships are for the Philippine navy, I don't think we're getting any big stealthy ships anytime soon. But I made a design just for you, and the navy of course :aberet: just read further down.
--------------------------------------------------
Now here's another design, which I envisioned from bustero's comments. Now at this size, I think the Philippines can afford to have this made stealthy, unlike my previous designs. However I didn't really put planing, I think, because, again, not sure what planing on ships look like other than a fin thing sticking out. Now here it is presenting the Lamok Class - stealth missile patrol boat...small, hard to see, and when it bites, it hurts and leaves a mark. It has a rapid fire 76mm Otobreda gun, with a stealthier cupola, like the ones on the Norwegian Skjold class, and kept under the gun are three SSMs side by side. There's a little exhaust thing behind the gun to get rid of the heat, fire, smoke etc. when the missiles fire.
spearhead - September 15, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Ayus! :thumb:
Anyway, ito naman sa akin:
BRP MANILA 176 FT. VARIANT

248 FT. VARIANT
Special FeaturesThis BMC (Battleship Missile Cruiser) design comes with 3 variant sizes in length, 1st is 176 ft (above photo), 2nd is 248 ft, and the last one is the 300 ft long version that can also carry more weapons, aircrafts, and some 200 PMC Navy Marines.
The Ship's powerplant is a standard 4 Diesel engines for the 1st variant, while the 2nd variant has 5 Disel engines, and the last variant can be equipped with 6 Diesel engines with an optional nuclear power plant for a longer range patrol coverage.

THe US Navy has a Recycling program where the parts of decommissioned ships are to be used in making new ships............................I was wondering coz we have 6 Barnegat WHAC ships.....(Bonifacio class) 4 commissioned and 2 were spares....BRP Bonifacio, BRP Dagohoy, BRP Del Pilar, BRP Silang hulls in think is in Sangley.....................the 2 spare boats i dont know.......A good design for recycling this hulls would be ideal if the Navy are trying to add OPV........i know it will involve hull refitting, new deck plates, new fire control system, replace the 5 inch gun with an OTO melara gun...Harpoon missile launchers, torpedo and SAMs.............aside from installing new main and auxilliary engines..........and maintenance wise all parts to be consider should be in production so we wont end up cannibalizing this ships in order to maintain
