Description: Be part of a reserve unit!
LTPAFR - January 25, 2007 09:59 AM (GMT)
I'd like to post a message here for all PAF reservists out there, especially in metro manila upwards to the ilocos and cagayan valley regions. if you haven't been very active lately, please try to get in touch with the 1st READY RESERVE AIR WING to be included in the current UMD for the air force RR. the unit is doing a UMD clean-up and those who don't show up or get themselves noticed might be relegated to the standby reserves. 1RRAW is at VAB. you can go there on weekends and inquire on your status. thanks.

Sir, do you have the list of the Air Force Reserves Units and their addresses and contact numbers? These are mostly the queries of posters here. With that list we could course our Reservist on the right path.

I don't have everything, but the unit that has jurisdiction in metro manila and northwards is the 1st RRAW. it is located at the ARC bldg, with the 1st air reserve center (ARCEN) and the Air Reserve Command CP. 1st ARCEN can be called using the VAB trunk - 8546701 to 22. They may have someone at the 1RRAW who can answer questions about the unit.
Additionally, there's a reserve wing at Fernando AB in Lipa, Mactan in Cebu, and another one in Davao. I don't remember base in Davao.
Air reserve groups or squadron headquarters can be traced from composite air wing offices near most civilian airports.

The Air Force Reserve Command PAF wants to see if ready reserve units all over the country are properly manned and in fact ready to respond at a moment's notice. AFRC has announced the conduct of an assembly test of air force reserve wings in Luzon (that means a test of how fast any unit could assemble). And that happens on 01 Dec 07 (Saturday) at Clark Air Base.
It coincides with the AFRC's 28th Anniversary, so it's not all work! Aside from the physical accounting and updating of records, and lectures and open forum on organizational restructuring of the AF Reserve, capability enhancement, and reserve force employment and utilization, there will be fun games for everyone!
If you are an Air Force reservist residing in Luzon, then you should show up and be counted! Doesn't matter if you have not been assigned to a reserve unit, as long as you can show your reservist records (college TOR that shows you graduated from ROTC, ROTC and military training certificates, commission or enlistment orders, reservist ID, and other relevant documents). Please check with your local ARCEN or ready reserve wing/group for further info. :crawling:
