Title: PMC KM450?

GUNNY - January 4, 2008 07:09 AM (GMT)
Bros,

I just want to know how many of the newly acquired KM450 trucks will be allocated to the PMC? If yes, How many variants of the said truck will they get?
IMHO the KM450s are very ideal for the pmc & will definitely boost their mobility...

As in the other forum

from Sir mikelogics

QUOTE
PMAR is not included in the distribution list. Only PA and PAF

What we see being used by the PMC are the U.S. made M-715

The M151 MUTT was the successor to the Korean War M38 and M38A1 jeep Light Utility Vehicles and was produced from 1959 through 1982. With some M151A2-units still in US Military service in 1999, the M151-series has achieved a longer run of service than that of the WW2 MB/GPW, M38 and M38A1 series combined. M151 drivetrains are still being manufactured into vehicles by Carolina Growler. However, the Light Strike Vehicle designed for the V-22 Osprey transport by American Growler is an all new design and uses all new parts and does not contain any M151 parts or design elements.

The Kaiser Jeep M715 is an American wheeled military vehicle based upon the civilian Jeep Gladiator. In 1965 the design and developing for the M715 began. The U.S. Government purchased these trucks to replace the M37. Between 1967 and 1969 over 33,000 trucks were produced at the Toledo, Ohio plant. Kia is currently designing an M715-type vehicle named the KM450 for the South Korean Army on license from the U.S. Government. India's Tatra/Vectra is also entering an M715 type vehicle as a candidate for the Indian Army's LSV requirement.
