Title: May courses ba for reservists?

Question, mga peeps. Mayroon bang courses na specialized sa mga sumaling active reservists? As in like sa PMA you get trained for a specialized skill such as being a paramedic or such na mapapakinabangan mo not only in times of disaster or war but even as additional skill for work? Yun bang tulad sa US where you either get trained by them or offered a grant or loan? Kung wala maganda siguro kulitin mga officials natin to advocate for such. Ano sa tingin ninyo if so.

Tagal ko na sila kinukulit...

But kidding aside there are short term courses/seminars being offered. And you got to have nice keen of smell and hearing for such.

Hmmm. I'll try to find time kasi to meet with my contact sa Navy at baka magtulungan kami if this kind of idea will really benefit a lot. Kulitin ko then yun contacts ko and those whom I've made friends na maaring makatulong. Problem is that wala akong idea what kind of courses or seminars are they offering to entice people to become reservists or even take part in their civic activities.

Mostly courses being offered are being allotted to organic personnel. They are given priority. And some have no appeal to Reservists since most are already employed in their own line of work. In addition, courses are also held on weekdays wherein Weekend Warriors are not available. Specialization courses normally takes 2 weeks to 3 months. And for a Reservist, one cannot go on leave for such a long time.

Now how about reversing the trend? Reservists conducting courses of their specialty on those weekdays (to become both part of their job and their active duty) which regular military personnel may put into use in the AFP?
