I just got an email from a friend asking me about the patriot marine boats project if this is the same as the MPAC. Well, From what i know last year , this is in fulfillment of the PN requirement for RHIBs. This is a separate project from the MPAC. Since the RHIB project is below 50 million pesos if my memory is right , this does not have to go through the DND but was instead bidded out by PN.

Also, Patriot Marine is one of the bidders of the MPAC offering the bigger 15 meter long Strikemaster model for the MPAC project.

Its ok with me if this australian company won since the patriot marine boats are being built by their local partner, stonecraft company a filipino company that also built numerous 24 meter long BFAR patrol boats in the past.

however, forget about all i said above, i could be wrong you know. strange things have happened.

Hmmm. Matagal na hindi ako naliligaw dito kaya hindi ko naitanong sa contact ko. But yun idea for the hospital ship is true. Yun nga lang mahihirapan pa hanapan ng support plus funding to make it a reality :P
