Coming in at 78 feet in length and weighing in at 56.4 tons full load. The class is powered by two GM diesel engines (2,800hp) driving two propellers for a maximum speed of 28 knots. Range at a speed of 12 knots is 1,200 miles. Range at a speed of 24 knots is 600 miles.

Are relatively heavily armed for their size. The class was originally designed to carry one 40mm gun forward, one 12.7mm/81mm mortar combination at the stern plus the four 12.7mm mgs. Instead the class has been equipped with one 25mm Chain gun (Mk38) and four 12.7mm mgs.

Hmmm. I wonder if these are the vessels my PN friend said were matakaw sa fuel. Still, it would be nice if our R&D team can remedy that problem para naman mas maging useful ito for us if such were so - yun comment na matakaw sa fuel.

i think it was the 800 # series sea killer patrol boats that were fuel hogs. these were the smaller korean-donated boats(smaller than the PKMs). even the bigger PKMs are fuel hogs but they are more popular because it has better habitability, and better armed.

Fast Attack Craft Missile Class La Combattante III refers to four ships ordered by Greece in September 1974 from France. There are similar to the Fast Attack Craft Missile Class La Combattante IIa, but are bigger and armed with torpedoes. A second group of six were ordered in 1978 , but were built in Greece and use Penguin Mk 2 Mod 3 missiles.
