my grandfather was the member of late INP and one of the deputy commander of bacolod city. may i ask if he is given a recognition, like military rites like gun salute when he pass away?maybe he will be also given that rites even he is already retired, he deserve that recognition for he serve the city as a high officer of the police.

You should pass an official request to the city police office. They will review and grant your request if valid.

there should be no problem when you request for it...just make sure he has a set of a Gala Uniform with appropriate and complete awards, decortions, ribbons, etc...

thank you sir for your reply...he retired i think last 1989 when the inp and the pc are combined together
