====================================================

Steps (for copy-pasting images that are NOT stored in the Internet ... or say for photos that are still stored in your PC.)

For images that you want to paste into a particular PDFF thread, you must first store it in a website so that you can get its URL.

Without this URL, there's no way you can post it in the Internet.

There are some sites that offer "image storage" for free. All you have to do is register to get your own free account.

Check this site. http://photobucket.com

After you have registered, do the folowing;

1- In the ADD PICTURES portion, click BROWSE. (see photo below)

user posted image

2- When the CHOOSE FILE window appears, find and select the image or photo then click OPEN.

3- Click SUBMIT.

4- The uploaded file will appear below. Click the URL text box below the image to highlight it.

5- Right-click while the text box is highlighted, then click COPY. (see photo below)

user posted image

6- Now get back to your PDFF thread and paste it there. (See STEPS 6 to 8 above to do this)

By the way, allow a single space from the text preceding the image or following it.

See this;

(preceeding text) ...xxxxxxxxx

[IMG..]http://.............. image file URL....... [/IMG..]

(following text) ....xxxxxxxxx....

Also, refrain from posting the same picture more than ONCE unless you are replying or emphazising something from an earlier post.

The practice of posting the same picture for the same reason may look annoying to some. PAsmile.gif

I hope that helps. PAwink.gif

MULTIPLE QUOTES:

Try this one, Sir Tirad.

This is just what i know. Some may know other ways to do this. I do not know if this one is the easiest.

It's worth the try though.

Step 1- Start composing your REPLY post.

Step 2- Browse down to get to the earlier posts where you can copy the texts that you want to quote.

Step 3- Assuming that the photo below carries the texts that you want to quote, highlight the date details and the name of the poster.

You may put the mouse cursor at the left side of the poster's name ... then hold and drag the cursor to the right until it covers the date and time completely. (see photo)

user posted image

Step 4- Right-click then click COPY.

Step 5- Go back to the post that you've started to create and do what the photo below tries to show.

user posted image

Step 6- Go back to where you copied the date and poster detail and then copy the text that you want to quote. (highlight... right-click...COPY)

Step 7- Paste it right after the QUOTE beginning tag..

Step 8- End the quote with [/QUOTE] tag.

Step 9- Start typing your reply.

DO THE SAME PROCESS AGAIN TO THE OTHER QUOTES THAT YOU WANT TO ADD.

BTW, you may open another window where you can compose your reply right from there so that it will be easier to copy and paste the posts you want to quote since you wont have to browse down and back to the one you're composing just to copy the texts.

Simply put it, use the first window for finding the texts you want to quote then use the new window for composing your reply.

I hope that helps. PAcheers.gif

BOLD, COLOR, FONT, SIZE, ITALLIC, UNDERLINE

STEP 1. Highlight the text that you want to include.

user posted image

STEP 2. Select the desired style or effects.

user posted image

The changes you've made will appear in the "edit box" like this;

The set of characters at the beginning and at the end of each sentence are called "tags".

user posted image

With the COLOR you can directly change the color you've just chosen by simply editting the word (Yellow to Blue).

You can do the same thing to the FONT (style) or change the SIZE to your final selection by simply editing the font name or number respectively.

PASTING VIDEO CLIPS

1. Copy "OBJECT CODE" of the video.

**** In Youtube, look for the box named EMBED. Just copy the code in the text box. It looks like the one below when pasted.

<object codebase="http://go.divx.com/plugin/DivXBrowserPlugin.cab" height="420" width="600" ............... > </object>

2. Then put this tag "[dohtml]" at the beginning of the code.

3. Add this tag '[/dohtml]" at the end of the code.

NOTE:

Youtube normally sets its DIMENSION to these;

height="355" width="428"

To make the video screen bigger, you can change it to this;

height="501" width="600"

That parameter is written twice, so be sure to change both statements.

ENJOY!

Sample;

[dohtml]<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Kk44-45LR2U&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Kk44-45LR2U&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>[/dohtml]

Sorry flipz, although your instructions on how to post videos are comprehensive and user-friendly, as of the moment only the Mods and Staff are allowed to embed video clips.

But all members will have the ability to embed vids once we upgrade to zetaboards in the near future.

thanks...
