amateur sewer cleaner Group: Analysts Posts: 1,027 Member No.: 87 Joined: 19-August 04	The national government should establish a new government-owned defense company (GODC) which I think is the only viable hope for the country's defense reliance initiative to take off. the government owns and controls several successful and thriving companies and financial institutions which could contribute for this new entity's seed capital. The state could also invite private local and foreign companies as partners Israel's IMI and RAFAEL are two examples of highly successful state-owned defense companies both of which started from scratch and are now global players in the defense equipment manufacture. Singapore's ST Defense is another one. I don't know the details on how to create one but I believe this will be a viable enterprise for the government if acted out with considerable resolve and political will. Your inputs?

i agree!

this will help other industries like STEELCRAFT to push-through their weapons design and eventually markets their weapons elsewhere (internationally)...
