Guys do you think that the Philippines will buy Singapore weapons like Bionix AFV in all of the different versions and AV-81 Terrex same thing this can replace our old FV101 Scorpion,IFV and other armored vehicles? and maybe the Philippines could buy artillery Self-Propelled Howitzer 1 (SSPH 1) Primus and the Light Weight Howitzer (SLWH) Pegasus. for ship how about the fearless class patrols or the Victory class or sea wolf class. or maybe the philippines would buy upgrade kits to boost our ship planes and armored vehicles? i mean we bought weapons from them right why not buy more weapons from them?

It may be more wiser to join forces with them to develop our own range of equipment and weapons. If we kept buying not only do we lose what little dollar reserves we have but will not also produce a better technological base for our own.

Command is about authority, about appointment to a position. Effective leadership is different. It must be learned and practiced in order for it to rise to the level of art. You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader. You can certainly command without that sense of commitment but you cannot lead without it; and without leadership, command is a hollow experience. .. a vacuum often filled with mistrust and ignorance.

Indonesia's PT Pindad has entered into an agreement with Chartered Firearms Industries of Singapore (CIS) to license-produce the CIS40-AGL 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The company will make some slight modifications to suit Indonesian mountings. The 40-AGL is an air-cooled, direct blowback operated weapon which fires US and CIS 40 mm high velocity rounds to an effective range of1500 m. Modular in construction, it comprises four main assemblies: bolt and backplate; trigger and sight; feed cover; and receiver. It can be mounted on a tripod, pedestal or turret/cupola.The 40-AGL is in production for the Singapore armed forces for mounting on M113 APCs. To meet a local requirement CIS has developed a special training round, the TP S416A, which more closely follows the trajectory of HE and HEDP operational rounds than the US-developed TP M385. All 40 mm grenade rounds produced in Singapore now have a one-piece base to the cartridge case to eliminate potential feed problems inherent in other similar case designs.

The Bionix II are very expensive the PA does not have enough budget for that. Only air cavalry should be the focus no longer in the purchase of newer APC. AUSTRALIAN BUSHMASTER is a better choice for the PA

At the turn of the century, the Bionix design received an upgrade. What resulted was the creation of the Bionix II; which was jointly developed by Defence Science and Technology Agency, and Singapore Technologies Engineering. The main turret was upgraded to the 30 mm Bushmaster II cannon and armour was improved. Air-conditioning is also now standard. The new cannon has 50% greater armor penetration, while the upgraded armour has 50% greater protection against kinetic or shaped charge warheads. With the incorporation of a digital Battlefield Management System, this has allowed the Bionix II to maintain a higher competency in functionality and survivability by interfacing in real time and sharing information with other linked assets such other army units of the Singapore Army with those of the Air Force and Navy, thereby giving a better all round tactical and situation awareness[5]. Upgrades also include improved laser range finder, minefield protection and enhancements to the 30 mm cannon.

So you consider the Bushmaster cheap?
at US$1.25M/unit (for purchases more than 2 dozen), that's close to P62M each! That's for a vehicle without a closed turret weapon system!
